About the Role

As a Business Analyst, you will focus on understanding customer and business needs, analyzing and documenting requirements, and communicating these to the architects, developers, and testers. You will work with them to build solutions that achieve our goals and deliver the best business outcomes.

The major responsibilities of this position include:

  • Engaging with Product Owners and business SMEs to understand and analyze customer needs and business drivers
  • Eliciting requirements with key stakeholders to ensure that business owners and project team members have a shared understanding of scope and actual needs
  • Contributing to the breakdown of complex business problems into epics, features, and user stories with meaningful acceptance criteria and other supporting artefacts
  • Participating in collaboration with the Product Owners to prioritize and shape the product backlog using best practices for prioritization
  • Contributing to collaboration with the project team to develop a feasible and viable solution design
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing improvements and efficiencies across key business systems by analyzing the current state and determining the optimal future state
  • Contributing to the identification of project risks, issues, and dependencies
Requirements
  • Experience in managing and negotiating with multiple levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment
  • Experience with IT applications and software delivery projects
  • Experience in managing external and internal stakeholders with the ability to engage, collaborate, and influence
  • Intermediate documentation, planning, and organizing skills
  • Intermediate analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience using industry-recognized solution delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
Desirable
  • Solid experience as a business analyst
  • Experience dealing with multiple systems integrations
  • Experience with designing and implementing processes across multi-functional areas
  • Knowledge of the Fleet Management Industry and/or Financial Services
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile process management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Visio, etc.)
