Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Design Engineer to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of our products, ensuring they meet current safety standards and are completed within design deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Leadership: Lead the design and development of our products, ensuring they meet current safety standards and are completed within design deadlines.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of specialist engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Configuration Control: Ensure the mechanical configuration control, including defining and enforcing configuration control procedures to maintain the highest level of quality.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into overall systems.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges and propose effective solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance of all designs with relevant engineering standards and regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of all design decisions made during the process.
  • Design Improvement: Identify potential design flaws and provide solutions to improve the design.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering or similar.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in a Lead Mechanical Design Engineering role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MicroStation software, experience in Creo software design, and proficiency in CAD software, Inventor-desirable.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
