We are seeking a highly skilled Biopharmaceutical Process Scientist III to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity in our Media and Buffer Preparation suites.
- Coordinate and perform tasks in accordance with planning schedules and under the direction of the MBP Team Leader.
- Independently complete unit operations, manual operations, and measurements in accordance with applicable production protocols and standard operating procedures in a clean room environment.
- Contribute to the overall production of biopharmaceutical products and intermediates, including maintaining the production suites in proper condition.
- Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, documented, and calibrated, and act as a trouble shooter and guide user.
- Develop and revise documentation, including standard operating procedures and deviation reports.
- Implement corrective or preventive actions and support the implementation of new procedures and/or equipment in the OPS department.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and colleagues to resolve technical issues.
- Train co-workers on unit operations and equipment handling.
- Ensure all activities are completed independently within the department, coherent with cGMP Quality System and Patheon EH&S requirements.
- Tertiary education in a science or engineering-based field, such as biopharmaceutical manufacture, biotechnology, or process technology.
- Excellent knowledge and working experience in a cGMP environment.
- Specific knowledge of relevant process unit operations and quality systems.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and planning skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Good communication, flexibility, reliability, and assertiveness.
- Responsible and proactive.
