We are seeking a skilled Rural General Practitioner to join our team in Clermont, offering a competitive salary of up to $243,070 (L27) and comprehensive benefits package.

About the Role

As a Senior Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to the community in a 32-bed facility. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our Health Service, which offers a range of services including aged care, acute and emergency care, and Community Health Nurses.

The role requires:

  • Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate;
  • Demonstration of or working toward acquisition of medical skills commensurate with requirements of rural practice, such as FRACGP, FACRRM, FARGP or equivalent;
  • Completion of an Advanced Skill (or equivalent) and proficiency and eligibility for credentialing by the MHHS credentialing committee as a FRACGP-RG, FACRRM, FARGP with advanced skill would be highly desirable;

In return, we offer a generous remuneration package consisting of:

  • A salary between $122,100 - $129,455 (L25-L27)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading paid for 4 weeks leave
  • Professional Development Leave 3.6 weeks p.a.
  • Professional Development Allowance ($21,500 p.a.)
  • Motor Vehicle Allowance
  • Overtime and on-call allowances
  • Attraction and Retention Incentive Allowance (Granted Private Practice arrangements)

Clermont is a charming town with a population of just over 3,000, situated three hours west of Mackay. The location offers relaxed and comfortable living opportunities, only an hour flight from Brisbane and a short distance to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef.
