We are seeking an experienced Theatre Scrub Scout Registered Nurse to join our theatre team at a centre of excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and skilled professional to provide high-quality patient care throughout procedures.
Job Description:
This role will see you working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery. Your duties may include:
- Aiming to achieve optimal patient outcomes by following evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Demonstrating clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and patient management within the theatre complex.
- Implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities.
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional development.
- Providing education and training assistance to other staff when applicable.
- Working autonomously and as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum two years' experience as a Perioperative Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse.
- Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing highly desirable or working towards.
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
