About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our Early Childhood Support Services. This role is responsible for enhancing family capacity, fostering community connections, and promoting early childhood education.

Key responsibilities include identifying vulnerable children and families who are not accessing early childhood services, connecting them to culturally appropriate programs, and supporting their ongoing engagement with services.

The successful applicant will possess a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field from a recognized institution, along with substantial relevant experience and knowledge in early childhood services. They will also have knowledge of First Nations cultures and historical impacts, with a commitment to respectful culturally safe practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage with vulnerable children and families who are not accessing early childhood services
  • Connect families to culturally appropriate Kindergartens, Child Care Centres, and Playgroups
  • Support families respectfully and authentically through assessment, intervention, and support planning
  • Facilitate smooth transitions to school by offering referrals and practical help to access health checks, immunisations, playgroups, and Kindergarten programs
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field from a recognized institution
  • Substantial relevant experience and knowledge in early childhood services
  • Knowledge of First Nations cultures and historical impacts, with a commitment to respectful culturally safe practices
