Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Inventory and Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the inventory management process, ensure accurate stock levels, and optimize storage space. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory strategies to ensure optimal stock levels, taking into account factors such as local demand forecast for Asian food, sales trends, and seasonality.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Procurement: Collaborate with Asian suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Inventory Analysis: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns to forecast future demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
- Warehouse Management: Oversee the organization and layout of the warehouse, optimize storage space, and ensure efficient movement of goods.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, and other key performance indicators to provide insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, and finance to align inventory management with business objectives and ensure smooth operations.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor degree or at least five years full-time professional working experiences related to warehouse administration, procurement, supply chain or stock management in wholesale & retail or logistics industry.
- Language: Fluent in English and Mandarin is a must.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices, including inventory management, demand forecasting, procurement, logistics, and distribution. Proficiency in using inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant tools.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills for managing inventory teams and driving process improvements.
- Communication: Good communication skills and strong coordination capability with all relevant stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, and logistics providers between Australia and China.
