With an estimated annual salary range of $108,438 - $153,745 (including leave loading), our competitive compensation package reflects the high expectations we have for our educators. This generous remuneration is complemented by relocation assistance, up to 15 fortnightly payments, allowing you to relocate with ease. Our comprehensive orientation program ensures a smooth transition into your new role, providing access to a supportive leadership team, networking opportunities, and professional development resources.

As a teacher at Katherine High School, you will be part of a close-knit community where students' diverse backgrounds are celebrated. With over 500 enrolments representing more than 30 language groups from across the Territory, our school provides a unique opportunity to engage with students from varying cultural backgrounds. We are currently seeking qualified classroom teachers to fill several ongoing vacancies. These positions include:

  • Secondary Years Teacher – Health and Physical Education
  • Secondary Years Teacher – Maths (year 9-10)
  • Secondary Years Teacher – English and Humanities (year 7-8)
  • Secondary Years Teacher – Maths and Science (year 7-8)
  • Senior Years Teacher – Maths and Science (year 11 – 12)
  • Senior Years Teacher – English (year 11 – 12)
  • Elective Teacher – STEAM
  • Elective Teacher – Digital Technologies
  • Elective Teacher – Art
  • Elective Teacher – Music

  • An attractive salary commencing at $92,215 - $131,349 (based on years of classroom teaching experience) + retention allowance of $4,500 per annum + option to salary sacrifice + 17.5% leave loading
  • 6 weeks recreation leave and 6 weeks stand-down leave per annum, 3 weeks personal leave per annum, 5 days per annum for Cultural and Ceremonial leave obligations
  • Relocation assistance - support for moving costs and up to 15 fortnightly relocation allowance payments paid on top of salary ($647*/fortnight single or $894*/fortnight with dependants)
