Job Overview

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is a leading organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live meaningful lives. We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Practitioner to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.

About the Role

This role centers on providing person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to build new skills and achieve their goals. You will be responsible for delivering innovative programs, assisting with daily tasks, and accompanying clients on community outings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting clients to develop new skills through arts & craft, music, health & fitness programs
  • Assisting with mealtimes, personal care, and medication management
  • Accompanying clients on community access, such as social events and recreational activities
  • Providing transport assistance using CPA minivan
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong desire to support individuals with disabilities and make a positive difference in their lives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work across different services, locations, and teams within CPA Lifestyles
  • Experience working with behaviors or a willingness to learn
  • Any relevant skills or hobbies to share with clients and the team
  • A valid NSW driver's license (preferred)
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field (preferred)
