About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Healthscope as a Medical Administration Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional administrative support to our medical team, including managing a busy reception desk, answering and redirecting calls, and preparing admission paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems, including preparation of medical records.
- Perform Health Fund Checks as required and manage the collection of excesses/co payments.
- Coordinate with staff from other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our patients and staff.
- Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to work well independently and within a team, with a flexible approach to working a variety of shifts.
- WebPas Hospital system and Zedmed experience is highly desirable.
