Senior Community Development Officer – ReconciliationThis new role will take the lead in delivering the City's first Reconciliation Action Plan, overseeing the City's Reconciliation Action Plan Community Reference Group and providing strategic and operational advice to the City on all matters relating to First Nations peoples, culture and engagement.
First Nations people are strongly encouraged to apply, as are all professional and committed community development practitioners who are ready to help lead the City's reconciliation efforts.
Key responsibilities include project management and community consultation and engagement, effective planning and delivery of community development projects and services.
Applicants must provide an up-to-date resume and a covering letter addressing their demonstrated experience in these areas. A satisfactory National Police Certificate no more than 3 months old will also be required.
To succeed in this role, applicants should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. They should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to think critically and creatively.
The successful applicant will be required to work collaboratively with the City's community reference groups and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes that meet the needs of the community.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with Indigenous communities and developing programs that promote reconciliation and social cohesion.
- Salary: $89,216 - $96,191 per annum
- Plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply)
