Join Our Team as a Construction/Planning/Strata Lawyer

We are seeking a talented and ambitious Construction/Planning/Strata Lawyer to join our team at AFL Recruitment. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of intellectually stimulating and interesting disputes relating to construction, planning, and strata law.

About the Role

As a Construction/Planning/Strata Lawyer, you will be responsible for litigating in Superior/Land & Environment Courts & NCAT on a full spectrum of disputes relating to:

  • Building and construction disputes and claims resolution, including adjudication applications, expert determinations, arbitrations, and conventional litigation;
  • Planning disputes, including town planning, rezoning, development applications, environmental prosecutions/compliance, land access/acquisition, environmental impact assessments/approvals, cultural heritage/vegetation protection/contaminated land issues, and climate change/sustainability, environmental risk;
  • Strata property litigation.

You will also have the opportunity to engage in some non-litigation (advisory front-end) construction/environmental & planning and strata property cases.

Requirements

We are interested in hearing from you if you:

  • Are admitted as a solicitor in NSW (or about to be soon);
  • Have minimum 1 year's experience in 1 or more of: 1) construction law; 2) planning/local government law; 3) strata law;
  • Have strong communication, research, negotiation, advocacy, and client management skills;
  • Are practical, adaptable, commercial, deadline-driven, and results-oriented;
  • Are hungry to advance your career LONG-TERM as a well-rounded versatile holistic specialist construction/planning/strata lawyer with a top specialist firm.
