Job Description

As a strategic planner in our team, you will play a vital role in driving sales, profit, and return on investment through accurate and effective management of merchandise financial plans.

Your key responsibilities will include creating and executing a strategic financial plan, analysing and presenting information to management, and ensuring strategically aligned merchandise planning activities.

You will be responsible for developing a planning strategy, objectives, and performance management measures focused on achieving sales targets, gross profit, and effective stock turns/GMROI.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create and drive a strategic financial plan.
  2. Analyse and present information to Management, summarising key strategic initiatives, growths & declines, risks & opportunities.
  3. Ensure strategically aligned merchandise planning activities. Develop a planning strategy, objectives and performance management measures focused on achieving sales targets, gross profit and effective stock turns/GMROI.
What You'll Bring:
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Be commercially astute with excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • 5+ years' proven experience in a retail Merchandise Planning role or comparable role.
  • High level of excel skills and capability.
