Special Education Teacher, Western Sydney

Rooty Hill Public School is an integral part of the local community in Western Sydney, providing quality education in a vibrant and caring school environment. As part of the Learning Neighbourhood, we work with our local schools to provide a seamless education from Kindergarten to Year 12.
We have a student enrolment of 630 students, including two Multi-categorical (MC) and one Intellectually Mild (IM) support classes. These students come from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Our school prides itself on its inclusivity, belonging, and collaboration with students, parents, and the wider community. We strive to foster and develop student leadership and participation through various extra-curricular opportunities.
Key Selection Criteria include:
- Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Ability to deliver differentiated and engaging literacy and numeracy programs
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills promoting collaboration and positive partnerships
- A commitment to enriching opportunities for students and coordinating whole school extra-curricular programs
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a remuneration package valued at up to $134,570.00, comprising a base salary ranging from $75,791.00 to $120,322.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach, you are required to commence the process at the same time as applying for this opportunity.
