We are seeking an experienced HSE Specialist - Funeral Services to join our Health, Safety, and Sustainability team. This exciting opportunity will enable you to proactively execute business strategy in relation to health, safety, and environment practices, positively influencing culture throughout the organisation.

About the Role:

  • Implement HSE Strategy, Plan, and Initiatives across NSW and ACT locations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including line managers, team members, HSRs, Committees, and other HSS team members
  • Act as internal advisor, promoting and coaching on HSE program implementation and risk management
  • Provide support to Operational Management and teams on a day-to-day basis
  • Utilise facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills to achieve desired HSE outcomes
  • Implement audit and assurance programs according to schedule, including close out of associated non-conformances and observations

What You'll Bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an HSE discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within a large, diverse, and multi-site organisation
  • Broad understanding and working knowledge of WHS, Environment, and Workers' Compensation legislation in relevant jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated results in improving safety culture and HSE performance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing health, safety, and environmental challenges
