**Financial Controller Opportunity at Accor Mackay**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Ibis Mackay. This role reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for providing full financial and accounting support for the hotel.

The Financial Controller will collaborate closely with the leadership team to oversee the overall budgeting, planning, and forecasting of the hotel, including the analysis and reporting of monthly and yearly results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial projections.
  • Manage and train a high-performing finance team to deliver exceptional financial services and support.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to gather essential data for long-term, annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and forecasting.
  • Provide regular financial updates and insights to owners on a quarterly basis.
  • Analyse financial performance against forecasts and budgets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Foster a culture of transparency and accountability within the finance team, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proven ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive projects across an organisation.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.
