Garden Enrichment Volunteer

In this enriching role, you'll have the opportunity to nurture community spirit and happiness in our gardens. You'll work closely with aged care residents, supporting them in planting, weeding, watering, and organizing tasks. By doing so, you'll foster a sense of belonging and shared experiences, promoting safety, respect, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:- Hands-on Involvement: Support residents in participating in gardening activities
- Scheduling Assistance: Help create planting schedules that cater to the needs of all participants
- Creating a Welcoming Space: Develop a garden environment that embodies kindness, dignity, and choice, making everyone feel valued and respected
To excel in this position, you'll need to demonstrate:
- Empathy and Compassion: Interact with residents from diverse backgrounds in a non-judgmental and respectful manner
- Cultural Competence: Build strong relationships with people from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
- Essential Qualifications: Hold an up-to-date National Police Check and Flu Vaccination Certificate
