Job Title: Senior Grower

About the Role:

The role of Senior Grower is a key position in our organization, responsible for overseeing plant health and production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement growing schedules for various plant lines.
  • Oversee plant care strategies, including watering, fertilizing, irrigation, and pest control.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions, using Priva or another similar program.
  • Troubleshoot and address plant health issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on the latest horticultural techniques and trends.
  • Record crop performance, treatments, and inputs accurately.
  • Report on KPIs such as stock readiness, loss rates, and crop cycles.
  • Contribute to production planning with the nursery manager or owner.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Horticulture or Production Nursery (or equivalent), along with over 5 years industry experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of plant biology and growth requirements.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for precision.
  • ChemCert Accreditation.
