We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Education Support Class Position - Integration Aide. This role will provide support to teachers and students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide routine support to teachers, including assisting with planning of student routines and supporting communication between teachers and parents.
- Communicate with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities.
- Provide basic physical care and wellbeing support for students, such as toileting, meals, and lifting.
- Communicate with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information.
- Address immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting, aligned to school policy and procedure.
- Provide basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting.
- Support teachers in the coordination of educational programs, independently or under minimal supervision, including rostering and organising the work of a team of aides.
- Provide medical intervention support to students, under specific conditions, with appropriate training and guidance.
- Provide specialised communication support for students and teachers in areas such as AUSLAN and braille.
- Individuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
- Basic physical care and wellbeing support skills, including toileting, meals, and lifting.
- Ability to address immediate behavioural presentations and provide basic support and supervision for students.
- Ability to support teachers in the coordination of educational programs and provide medical intervention support to students.
