Cost Planning Manager

This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive implementation and guide the delivery of cost planning procedures and processes to ensure compliance and alignment with organisational objectives.

The Regional Cost Planning and Estimating Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating RBU cost planning staff and operations. This includes evaluating the work of analysts, overseeing less experienced staff, mentoring and supporting team members, and providing appropriate training and feedback to develop internal capabilities.

  • Coordinate cost planning reviews to record and inform decision making and to ensure ongoing compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of cost planning outcomes.
  • Understand local market conditions with regards to applicable rates, subcontractors and competitors; maintain genuine relationships with key subcontractors to source reliable market pricing.
  • Fully accountable for all cost planning and estimating within the Regional Business Unit (RBU) from conversion through to delivery.
