Job Overview

This Electronics Engineering position is focused on the development of electronic subsystems for demanding motion control technologies. As an Electronic Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and troubleshooting new products, with a strong emphasis on performance and quality in a highly regulated domain.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design circuit card assemblies featuring control and power electronics as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and debug FPGA and embedded microcontroller modules.
  • Participate in commissioning and testing of products.
  • Develop test plans and support testing for developmental and production products.
  • Prepare technical documents for product development, including commissioning/ qualification reports, technical drawings/schematics, instructions and manuals.
  • Support business development activities, including customer liaison, tender document preparation, training support, and other events.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum: Degree in Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Required skills include proficiency in design, simulation, lab testing, and debugging of PCBAs, knowledge of motion control and control theory, good understanding of electronics related to brushless DC motors, excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong writing skills for technical documentation and reports.

Work Environment and Eligibility
  • Hybrid working arrangement, minimum three days on-site per week (or as required).
  • Ability to travel internationally in support of development efforts.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
  • Must satisfy police checks and employment screening verification, including employment reference checks.
  • Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulation (ITAR).
