Job Title: Rolling Stock Maintenance TechnicianAbout the Role

This position is responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling rolling stock and infrastructure equipment. The successful candidate will ensure that equipment is serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner while continuously seeking quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Test, repair, overhaul, or modify various vehicle components;
  2. Perform general housekeeping and cleaning tasks;
  3. Ensure fleet efficiency, safety, and adherence to industry standards;
  4. Comply with OH&S legislative, company policy, and procedure requirements;
  5. Work independently and proactively within a team environment;
  6. Other tasks as directed by your immediate supervisor/manager.
Requirements
  • Hold relevant trade qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical;
  • Interpret technical documents such as engineering drawings and operation manuals;
  • Adhere to roster arrangements, including weekend and public holiday work when required;
  • Undertake physical labour activities;
  • Willingness to undertake further training for additional qualifications if required;
  • Experience in rail car maintenance is highly regarded but not essential.
