About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Migration and Modernization Engineer to join our high-performing team at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated engineer with a passion for problem-solving to play a key role in shaping the future of banking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Migrate and modernize applications used to power our entire business, ensuring they are simpler, faster, and more secure.
  • Pave the way for cloud journey for complex applications and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize application performance.
  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions using MS technologies, including C# and .NET/.NetCore.
  • Lead design discussions to develop robust systems and contribute to code reviews to maintain high technical coding standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in solution design and architecture, with a strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Excellent debugging skills with the ability to solve complex technical issues in .NET and operate/troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong technical coding standards and excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to influence practices and mindsets within the team.
  • A solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and best practices, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems across the CI/CD toolchain.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, automating manual tasks, and developing CI/CD strategies using tools like GitHub, TeamCity, Artifactory, and Octopus Deploy.
