Your New Role

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator to join our team. As a valued member, you will provide high-quality practices to ensure a safe and engaging environment for children. You will interact with and effectively supervise the children while working collaboratively to deliver a high-quality education and care service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging programs that cater to the unique strengths, needs, and interests of the whole child.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment, promoting a culture of safety in line with PCYC Queensland values.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality education and care service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • No formal qualifications are prerequisite, but qualified Educators require a Minimum Certificate III qualification in an area relevant to working with children.
  • Experience working within the OSHC or long day care sector is desirable.
  • The ability to respond to needs and concerns of children to ensure quality service meets agreed standards.
  • A desire to succeed in a supportive workplace.
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate (or ability to obtain) is desirable.
  • A light rigid or medium rigid driver's licence, eligible to obtain an RDA (if undertaking Bus Driving duties).
  • A Queensland Transport Driver's Authorisation Card (if undertaking Bus Driving duties).

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $30.70 - $37.28 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Please note that junior rates may apply.

Working Conditions

Please note that Working with Children Check (Blue Card) legislation applies. All PCYC employees are required to complete a National Police Check upon commencement.
