About the Role

The Child Safety Compliance Adviser will work in a team that supports Conduct and Integrity Division. The role requires resilience, accountability, and commitment to high-quality service delivery.

As part of this role, the Child Safety Compliance Adviser will be expected to:

  • Provide efficient record services to support case management, FOI, and legal proceedings.
  • Maintain and improve core case and information management processes and systems (Resolve).
  • Support employee screening and advice, and referral of matters to the VIT for consideration.
  • Undertake ad hoc administrative and records-related tasks as required by the Manager, CSCO.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Legal Division and the Knowledge Privacy and Records branch.
  • Prepare and analyze data for reporting to senior officers of the department.
  • Contribute to branch reporting, operations, and system improvement activities and projects.
  • Receive incoming matters with a service-focused and responsive manner.
  • Demonstrate the Public Sector Values and follow departmental policies and procedures in executing duties.
About You

This role suits an experienced advisor who can leverage their expert knowledge and experience to provide advice to a wide range of stakeholders.

You will be a logical problem solver with experience in assessing multiple sources of information and maintaining detailed records in line with policy, guidance, and legislation.

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Experience providing complex advice within defined policies and procedures.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills, working within a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • High-level written communication skills, developing a range of complex written documentation.
  • Sound conceptual thinking ability, as well as excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in detailed record-keeping of sensitive information.
