As a Software Engineer at AP+, you will play a key role in building, modernising and maintaining our microservices and associated platform ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance. This includes designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating and managing cloud-based environments, creating APIs and Lambda functions to support new services and workflows and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • You will collaborate with other software, test and DevOps engineers in the delivery and deployment of new features.
  • Design and implement scalable and reliable application and infrastructure solutions leveraging cloud technologies.
  • Automate and manage infrastructure and application deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks.
  • You will build and deploy serverless Lambda Using Python or Typescript for microservice implementation.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of applications.
  • Work closely with software development teams to design and implement efficient and secure build and deployment processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule taking responsibility for platform incidents during assigned shifts.
  • Addressing identified security vulnerabilities in a proactive and timely manner.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with DevOps experience.
  • Strong background in cloud technologies preferably AWS.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks such as Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Experience with serverless such as AWS Lambda.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Github actions.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace or Prometheus.
