About this role:

As a Service Technician Leading Hand, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day workshop operations, supervising and supporting allocated employees' work schedules, and providing technical support to the Service Manager.

Your duties will include diagnosing, inspecting, reconditioning, repairing, assembling, and servicing equipment as assigned. You will also be required to document machine information and repairs completed on work order, including parts, time and fluids used.

You will need to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day workshop operations
  • Support and supervise allocated employees' work schedules
  • Provide technical support to the Service Manager in mechanical and electrical areas
  • Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned
  • Document machine information and repairs completed on work order
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues and customers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have relevant trade qualifications and experience in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products. A current and valid driver's licence is also essential.
