We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Support Specialist to join our team at KinCare in Sutherland.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for you to make a real difference in the lives of older adults, helping them maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Help clients with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring they have access to nutritious food and essential items
  • Offer social support and companionship, engaging clients in conversation and activities that promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Assist clients with domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry, to create a safe and comfortable living environment
  • Support clients with complex care needs, including those with dementia, by providing tailored care and assistance

  • A competitive $30.61 - $38.26 per hour rate, plus superannuation and paid kilometers

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, including personal care and support
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Driver's License and registered vehicle, with a valid public liability insurance policy
  • The ability to work independently, using your initiative and problem-solving skills to create personalized care plans for each client
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care, with a focus on promoting the dignity and autonomy of each client
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible schedule to accommodate client needs
