Job Description

You will join an organisation committed to offering and supporting professional career development. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the role involves empowering your future employer with data-driven insights and delivering trusted enterprise information assets and mapping products.

The role encompasses three key areas of responsibility:

  • Data Strategy and Governance: Support the implementation of a comprehensive data strategy, collaborate with senior management to align the data strategy with organisational objectives, analyse current data architecture, and propose modern enterprise data analytics and management roadmaps.
  • Vendor Engagement and Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships to advance digital transformation, oversee vendor engagement and procurement processes, ensuring effective outcomes.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a cross-functional team to deliver enterprise data solutions, provide strategic direction and leadership across projects and teams, and collaborate with CIO and team leaders.

To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum of 5 years of experience in information systems and business intelligence management, with exposure to GIS and information/records management preferred. Strong people leadership skills, understanding of data governance, security, quality principles, and information management frameworks are also essential. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong networking abilities.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will participate in IT audit and assurance activities, collaborate effectively with internal teams, and represent your future employer at networking events. A tertiary degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Geospatial Data Management, Information Systems, Applied Math, or equivalent experience leading information management, business intelligence, and/or GIS teams is desired.
