Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to support our import and export operations in the Asia-Pacific region.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with trade regulations, coordinating customs events, and providing guidance on import declarations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support import and export operations in ANZ and ASEAN regions
  • Coordinate local customs events, including inquiries, inspections, and audits
  • Provide instruction and guidance to brokers or 3PLs on completed information for import declarations
  • Classify products and maintain tariff codes and descriptions in TA systems
  • Determine customs values for import shipments and calculate customs duties or FTA duties when applicable
  • Support finance teams on GST account setup or daily payment handling during importation processes
  • Maintain and review/renew import/export operation processes and guidelines
  • Monitor trade compliance regulation changes and provide trade compliance training to relevant functional teams

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years of experience in import, export, and trade compliance
  • Good knowledge and experience in AEO and export control
  • Deep knowledge in import and export regulations, Incoterm, Origin Regulation, Customs Preferential programs (FTA, EPA, RCEP)
  • Solid knowledge and experience in classification and valuation (Broker license preferred)
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Passion for problem-solving and strong analytical skills
  • Fluent communication in English (spoken and written)
  • Business sense, data-driven, and passion for data management
