Teaching Opportunity in a Catholic School

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate IT teacher to join our team at a Catholic school in Sunbury. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and contributing to their academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE standards, ensuring students achieve their full potential.
  • Teach a range of IT subjects, including programming, web development, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.
  • Support students with varying learning needs, providing additional resources and adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in technology and education, attending professional development sessions and workshops.
  • Manage and maintain IT resources within the classroom, ensuring they are functional and up-to-date.
  • Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs and robotics teams.
Requirements:
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Valid VIT registration.
  • CECV Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or working towards).
  • Experience in VCE Maths is advantageous, but graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Understanding of the Vic Curriculum and experience teaching in Vic/Australia.
  • Minimum 4-year bachelor's degree containing a teaching qualification, with further study an advantage.
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years.
  • An understanding and appreciation of Catholic teachings, values, and traditions are essential for teaching within the Catholic system.
