About the Position

We are currently recruiting casual Youth workers who share our perception of improving and supporting the day to day lives of the young people in our care.

About You

  • Flexible, tolerant, patient, organised, reliable, and punctual individuals are ideal for this role.
  • Able to act with integrity in times of stress.
  • Commitment to young people and understanding the factors affecting their lives is essential.
  • Able to follow policies and procedures.
  • The ability to work a minimum of 24 hours a week is required.
  • Willingness to travel to regional locations is necessary.
  • The desire to collaborate with our clients for the best outcomes is crucial.

Responsibilities Include:

Empowering young people to make positive and informed life choices is a key aspect of this role.

  • Assisting with daily routines is an important responsibility.
  • Engaging and communicating with the young people in your care is vital.
  • Assisting in domestic tasks, shopping, cleaning, meal prep, and administering medication are also essential duties.
  • Implementation of behaviour support plans and writing detailed and accurate daily shift notes are critical responsibilities.
  • Following organisational policies, including Occupational Health and Safety, is mandatory.
  • Becoming a valued WorkPac employee to our clients is the ultimate goal.
Requirements Include:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A full NSW Driver's Licence and a Car.
  • Comprehensive or Third Party car insurance.
  • A Current Working with Children's Check.
  • 6 months of paid and recent experience as a Youth Support Worker within a residential setting.
  • A Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • A Minimum Cert IV in Youth Support / Diploma of Community Services.
  • Medicare Evidence of 2 COVID-19 Vaccinations.
  • Current availability to work.
