About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laboratory Assistant. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing support in various laboratory tasks, including specimen processing, equipment maintenance, and data entry.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and prepare tissue samples for embedding and microtomy
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Store and manage specimens in a secure and organized manner
- Assist other laboratory staff as needed, providing support in various tasks and projects
- Stay up-to-date with laboratory procedures and protocols
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong blend of skills, including:
- Experience in specimen processing and data entry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Previous laboratory experience and knowledge of medical terminology are desirable
