Senior Farmhand

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Farmhand to join our team at Blantyre Farms Pastoral Group. As a key member of our agricultural operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of our cropping and livestock programs.

• Assist with the health and care of sheep and cattle, including conducting pasture assessments and implementing grazing rotations.
• Support pasture, cropping, and harvest programs, including feeding fodder and supplements to livestock.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of maintenance programs, such as fencing and water systems.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the successful execution of agricultural operations.

• Experience in cropping and livestock operations.
• Knowledge of pasture improvement and grazing rotations.
• Proficiency in using agricultural software like Agriwebb and Agworld.
• Skills in maintaining and repairing farm equipment and infrastructure.
• A commitment to safety and creating a safe work environment.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks and responsibilities effectively.
• Strong communication skills for reporting and training junior farmhands.
