Role Summary

The Risk Framework & Reporting Manager will play a crucial role in monitoring the performance of risk against internal risk appetite and providing valuable insights through data analysis. This position will also involve coordinating and delivering risk reporting and assisting in the implementation of risk culture programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage risk reporting needs, including quarterly reports to the Australia Risk Management Committee and Senior Officer Outside Australia.
  • Assist in reviewing and maintaining the Risk Management Framework for Northern Trust Australia, ensuring alignment with global frameworks and Australian business requirements.
  • Advise first lines on the application of risk management frameworks and assist in integrating risk into the business planning process.
  • Monitor risk performance against appetite and utilize key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics for risk management reporting.
  • Conduct periodic risk culture assessments and develop action plans to support maturity.
  • Support the delivery of risk culture initiatives, including risk culture monitoring and reporting.
  • Assist in the delivery of the annual risk management declaration to APRA, including documenting supporting risk assessments and evidence.
  • Provide secretarial support to the CRO and Australia Risk Management Committee, coordinating meeting papers and taking minutes and actions.
  • Monitor regulatory developments impacting risk management frameworks and assess their impact.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Risk, or related fields is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in risk management within Australia's financial services or APRA-regulated entities.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, risk culture, and APRA/ASIC risk management requirements.
  • Knowledge of Northern Trust's strategic goals and experience in risk-related fields.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, and experience in data analytics and reporting.
