Job Description

The Multicultural Affairs and Social Cohesion Programs Branch is seeking a highly skilled Multicultural Policy Analyst to join our team in Canberra.

This role will involve developing and implementing innovative, evidence-based policies that support delivery of the Government's social cohesion policies and programs.

  • Analyse research data, including from the Australian Cohesion Index, to identify trends and inform policy development
  • Draft ministerial and departmental briefings, correspondence, and new policy proposals
  • Support ministerial meetings and meetings of the Australian Multicultural Council
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • a strong understanding of social cohesion policy and its application in Australia
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to develop and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • experience managing strategic direction and competing priorities to achieve timely results
