About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our team at a private hospital in Port Macquarie. As a key member of our Perioperative Services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate care to suit each patient's individual needs
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and excellence in patient care
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments
About the Facility
Our hospital is a 72-bed acute Medical/Surgical and Rehab facility with 6 Renal Chairs and a Day Surgery complex. We offer comprehensive Medical/Surgical services, including Orthopaedics, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Bariatric, and Vascular, Plastic & Ophthalmology.
Requirements
- Current and relevant registration with APHRA
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in an acute hospital setting
- Minimum 2 years of Scrub/Scout nursing experience essential
- Any postgraduate perioperative qualifications will be well-regarded
- Excellent understanding of infection control principles
