The purpose of this role is to eliminate costly downtime and lower operating costs while ensuring safety compliance and fostering a positive working environment.

The Maintenance Supervisor will be site-based, with approximately half their time spent on the tools. They will provide effective and efficient technical advice and administrative support in planning and management of mechanical repairs, service, and maintenance to achieve industry best practice.

This role requires an excellent understanding of machinery and mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical concepts, as well as the ability to think logically and methodically under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and support in planning and management of mechanical repairs, service, and maintenance
  • Ensure the optimal performance of fixed and mobile plant and equipment
  • Eliminate costly downtime and lower operating costs
  • Ensure safety compliance and foster a positive working environment
  • Provide effective and efficient technical advice and administrative support
Requirements
  • Background in Heavy Plant, Mechanical, and Business processes
  • Clear understanding of excellence in customer service
  • Proven management skills, practices, and planning ability
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities
  • Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating, and administering contracts
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly effective planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate, and influence others
  • Ideal: Trade Certificate – Heavy Plant
  • Current Drivers Licence
