Roper Gulf Regional Council is a municipal and community services provider in one of the most remote areas of the Northern Territory.
The council spans 201,000 square kilometers, making it one of the largest in the Northern Territory. The region consists of five wards: Never Never, Numbulwar - Numburindi, Nyirranggulung, South West Gulf, and Yugul Mangi.
Roper Gulf Shire Council was formed in 2008 from the amalgamation of smaller community councils and unincorporated land. It was renamed Roper Gulf Regional Council in 2014.
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Procurement Compliance Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with procurement policies, guidelines, and procedures.
The role involves coordinating daily and long-term procurement activities, reviewing and scrutinizing group and individual procurement activity, providing training and guidance to staff, and undertaking audits and reviews.
You will work closely with the Manager Corporate Compliance to ensure that all procurement activities are compliant with applicable laws, guidelines, policies, procedures, and protocols.
Key Requirements- Previous experience in public procurement or a related field
- Strong knowledge of procurement policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
