About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team and provide specialist counselling services to children and young people impacted by parental separation and divorce.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity that allows you to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing individual therapy, family therapy and group-based support to children and young people.

  • You will help children and young people navigate the challenges of parental separation and divorce through a 6 to 10 session model.
  • Deliver long term trauma-informed therapy (up to 20 sessions) for children and young people impacted by domestic and family violence.
  • Facilitate therapeutic group programs for children, young people, and parents.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the rollout of modality-specific interventions, including trauma-focused CBT, and participate in regular case discussions, team meetings, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans for children and young people.
  • Provide group-based support and facilitate therapeutic groups for children and young people.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for children and young people.
