About Our Team: At Right at Home Darling Downs, we prioritize person-centered care and exceptional communication services.

Job Role: We are seeking caring and compassionate support workers to provide in-home assistance for clients with complex mental health issues and disabilities.

  • Care for individuals with diverse needs, including personal care and domestic duties.
  • Support independence and promote dignity for people with disabilities.
  • Model and encourage appropriate social behaviors as necessary.

Essential Requirements:
We require:

  • A minimum of a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or higher qualification.
  • Experience working with individuals who have disabilities and complex mental health issues.
  • Previous skills and qualifications in medication assistance (HLTHPS006).
  • Incident reporting, quality documentation, complaints handling, and complex behavior support.
  • A positive attitude, owned vehicle with comprehensive insurance, and willingness to use it for work purposes.
  • CPR & First Aid Certificate, Open Drivers Licence, Blue Card, and NDIS Worker Screening Card.
  • Assist Client with Medication Certificate HLTHPS 006 is highly recommended.
  • Experience working with dementia, Positive Behavior Support, and Epilepsy would be an advantage.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion.

Responsibilities and Expectations: Work with male and female participants with mental disabilities. Support and mentor participants to increase their independence. Engage participants in community-based activities.
