We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EALD Teacher to join our team at Holy Family Primary School in Merewether Beach. As an EALD Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional English language development.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing effective English language learning activities based on the EAL/D Learning Progression and ESL Scales;
  • Mentoring and monitoring the English language development of EAL/D students; and
  • Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and achievement.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of current evidence-based English language learning pedagogy and practice;
  • The ability to interact and engage with members of the school community with respect for the dignity of others;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; and
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
