Marketplace Director - Media Buying Specialist

About the Role:

The Marketplace team within Wavemaker is responsible for delivering exceptional implementation planning and buying services. This includes both offline and online media types, utilizing data, technology, and automation to ensure client campaigns are executed efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the direction, workflow, and quality of implementation planning and buying for the client team.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the media landscape, including macroeconomic and consumer trends.
  • Develop and implement effective negotiation strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business results for clients.
Requirements:
  • Extensive agency experience in implementation planning and buying.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to build trust and respect within a network.
  • First-class negotiation skills.
  • Results-driven with a passion for delivering business results for clients.
What Success Looks Like:
  • In 3 months: Establish collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, develop a strong understanding of the agency and group proposition, and immerse yourself in the team.
  • In 6 months: Demonstrate ability to deliver on all aspects of the role, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and lead marketplace processes for the team's clients.
  • In 12 months: Take on greater ownership for campaigns and clients, build strong relationships with publishers, and elevate impact and influence within the business.
