Tyre Specialist

The role of a tyre technician is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of heavy machinery and vehicles.

• Carry out regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards, damage, or defects.
• Conduct weekly tool inspections to guarantee adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance on open-pit fleet tyres and assist with Heavy Machinery Equipment (HME) repairs as needed.
• Regularly inspect tools and equipment for proper functionality.
• Allocate parts effectively to work orders.
• Review tasks regularly to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors.
• Record and maintain accurate tyre fitting records and rim registers in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Weekly inspections of HME tyres will ensure optimal wear rates, tread depths, and air pressures are maintained.
• Ensure an adequate stock of tyres and consumables.

We seek a skilled individual with the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year's experience in tyre technician roles or similar.
• Hold trade qualifications with AUR21920 – Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology up to Cert VI or equivalent.
• Previous experience with CMMS, tyre management programs or similar software.
• Hold a current, unrestricted Western Australian Class
