Speech Therapy Assistant Position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Speech Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children aged 0-13 years with their communication, social interaction, feeding, and literacy goals.

This is an ideal opportunity for a speech pathology student looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, neurodiversity-affirming practice. You will be guided by experienced clinicians and have the chance to work on a variety of cases, developing your skills and confidence as a therapist.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and young people, a commitment to learning and growth, and strong communication skills – both verbally and in writing. You will also need to hold a current Working With Children Check (NSW) and NSW Police Check.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children aged 0-13 years with their communication, social interaction, feeding, and literacy goals
  • Work under the guidance of experienced clinicians to develop skills and confidence as a therapist
  • Develop strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
  • Genuine passion for working with children and young people
  • Commitment to learning and growth
  • Strong communication skills – both verbally and in writing
  • Current Working With Children Check (NSW) and NSW Police Check
  • Familiarity with paediatric therapy and willingness to learn
