Furniture Craftsman

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Furniture Craftsman. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled woodworker with a passion for creating high-quality furniture components.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, operating complex machinery, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard in both workshop and onsite settings.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Reading and interpreting drawings and work orders to determine job requirements;
• Selecting and working with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board, MDF, and other engineered wood products;
• Setting up and operating woodworking machines and tools, including CNC machinery;
• Assembling parts to form sections of cabinetry and furniture;
• Installing finished cabinetry on residential and commercial sites;
• Applying finishes such as sealants, lacquers or other coatings as required;
• Fitting hinges, runners, handles, and other hardware components;
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment and ensuring quality control of finished products;
• Collaborating with other trades and project managers as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• At least 2 years of recent, relevant experience in cabinetry or joinery work;
• Strong technical skills with experience operating woodworking tools and machinery;
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Attention to detail, a high standard of workmanship, and strong time management skills;
• Fluent in English.
