Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Technology Solutions Expert to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions that will support our control centre well beyond 2031.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in control centre operations, with a strong understanding of operational technology systems in real-time environments. They will also have a proven track record of collaborating across engineering, IT, and project teams to optimise system design.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise into the design of our Control Centre, ensuring new technologies meet the needs of operators while growing into a product leadership position that will directly influence Australia's energy future.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead initiatives including major SCADA/EMS upgrades
  2. Translate operational needs into robust technical requirements
  3. Conduct user acceptance testing, defect resolution and validation of solutions
  4. Collaborate with technical and operational teams to optimise system design
  5. Identify and deliver quick wins to improve control room operations
  6. Act as delegate for the Future Control Centre Manager when required
Requirements
  • Proven experience in control centre operations (energy or utilities sector preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of operational technology systems in real-time environments
  • Understanding of HV transmission networks, control, protection and communication systems
  • Experience in user acceptance testing, SCADA systems, and fault finding
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering, IT, and project teams
  • Leadership or coordination experience, with the ability to guide small teams
