We are looking for a Youth Support and Development Coordinator to join our team and provide therapeutic support to children and young people living in Intensive Therapeutic Care homes across Newcastle.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing a caring, safe and trusting relationship with the young person, meeting their day to day needs and working within legislative requirements and organisational initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a resilient problem solver, who can adapt to an ever-changing environment and be a strong advocate for the young people they support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a nurturing environment to promote self-efficacy and emotional wellbeing.
  • Providing daily care and supervision, ensuring the physical and emotional safety of the young person.
  • Supporting education and employment opportunities, such as school, vocational training or employment.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to reflective practice and supervision.
