About the Role
The Health Insurance Fund of Australia is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Developer to join its Business and Technology Solutions Team. As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality programming solutions that contribute to the company's member experience and internal business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure software applications using a modern Microsoft tech stack.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and maintain critical applications.
- Develop and implement RESTful APIs and ensure sound working knowledge of associated tools.
- Work independently to triage problems, investigate issues, research solutions, and provide justified recommendations.
- Estimate tasks, manage time, and resolve support tickets efficiently.
Requirements
- Strong skills and experience with Microsoft server-side web development technologies, including C#,.NET 6+, ASP.Net MVC, and IIS.
- Experience in building, integrating, securing, and managing RESTful APIs and sound working knowledge of associated tools.
- Proficiency in SQL Server with expertise in writing queries, stored procedures, database design, and EF Core integration.
- Expert proficiency in version control management, including branching, tagging, and release strategies using Git.
- Knowledge of application security best practices (OWASP), dependency management, and vulnerability mitigation.
- Tertiary qualification in computer science or a related discipline.
- Experience integrating with Identity and Access Management (IDAM) solutions, such as Okta or Cognito.
- Cloud development experience or certification, such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience on Agile projects and working knowledge of Atlassian software, such as Jira or Confluence.
- Development experience with Microsoft SQL services (SSIS and SSRS).
- UI/UX development experience and familiarity with front-end web frameworks and libraries, such as Webpack, TypeScript, and jQuery.
