Job Title:

A Fitness and Wellbeing Educator role is available for a skilled professional to deliver a high-quality learning program to students in Year 7-12.

  • This position involves teaching the Victorian Curriculum for Health and Physical Education, planning and implementing engaging teaching strategies that cater to diverse student needs, monitoring and assessing student learning growth and achievement, and using data to inform teaching practice.
About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a passion for promoting student engagement, agency, wellbeing, and achievement, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. To deliver the Victorian Curriculum for Health and Physical Education
  2. To plan and implement high-impact teaching strategies that cater to diverse student needs
  3. To monitor and assess student learning growth and achievement
  4. To use data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents
Selection Criteria:
  1. Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills
  2. Experience in responding to student learning needs
  3. Ability to plan and implement high-impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn
  4. Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching practice
  5. Interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain collaborative relationships
  6. Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values and commitment to professional learning
